What is inside

A short, printable guide covering the method in practical terms: how to open a session, how to choose the next question, and how to tell whether it worked.

It is written for classroom teachers, instructional coaches and school leaders and assumes no prior reading.

Who will get the most from it

Anyone who has seen a class that answers confidently in chorus and then stalls on the first independent task and wanted a concrete way to respond to it.

It is deliberately short enough to read in one sitting and to keep beside you in a classroom of thirty with eleven minutes left in the period.

How to use it

Do not read it cover to cover and file it. Take the opening question — Which students in the room can already explain this, and how do you know? — and use it once, today, on something real.

Then use the follow-up. Two questions used are worth more than a guide finished.

After the guide

When you want to go further, move on to the classroom question banks in the resources section, then a demo built around one of your own lessons. If you would rather see the method run against your own material, a demo is the shortest route.
